Well it’s that time of year again, when holidays are practically mandatory to forget that Winter is upon us and scaring our warm weather lovers to take cover under their weighted blankets.
Wanting a little more of the WOW factor, we choose to stay at Aria Apartments on the Gold Coast. As much as the love I had for Surfers Paradise in my youth, I’d now decided I needed a little more than cocktails & dreams. I need more latte’s and views these days.
With all the dining options and activities on the doorstep, not to mention the beach, Aria couldn’t be situated in a better location. The car hadn’t moved for out entire stay.
As much as we love our sleep, we couldn’t help but want to get up and take in the views of the stunning coastline and sunrises that set the mood for us each day. We’d basically watch the sun come up, head down for breakfast to one of a variety of cafes on the street, go for a walk and end up at a playground for the 5yo. Thankfully there is one of the best within walking distance at Kurrawa Park. It’s pretty fun, even for the adults.
With so many dining options on offer it really is an idea to get that walk in along the beach path each morning.
Our 2 bedroom apartment was self-contained with all we needed to enjoy every minute we spent there and it was certainly spacious enough for our family.
There is so much to do here, a gym, your own little movie cinema and the pool is heated, so no matter the time of year, you can always get that swim in too. Aria is a high rise but has that boutique hotel feel the moment you are greeted by the amazing staff.
For those of you up for a walk (not sure the young one was up for it this trip), the Star Casino is within walking distance. I must mention one of the best shopping centres is also near by at Pacific Fair. It is a must for the GC bucket list and so is a stay at Aria.
