From the moment I’d stepped foot into Soak Bathouse, you can almost sense a feeling of what we once called a ‘holiday’.
As the spa concierge presents me with my very own fluffy gown, I get the tour of what I am about to call heaven for the next 90 minutes or so.
Just to get the ‘me time’ started I grabbed a quick 20 minute LED Facial or some may call it a nap, to give myself that just stepped of the beach glow. I then continued the experience like an excited little girl, along the stone floor leading to the magnesium plunge pool and spa area. With Infrared sauna, massage rooms, plunge pools and outdoor spas of varying temperature, I was almost thinking someone named Ketut would soon hand me a cocktail.
Ah wishful thinking. There is no Ketut but don’t worry. They do serve alcoholic and other beverages to cater for everybody.
And just to give you no reason to leave, there is also a yoga room and co-working space for those remote workers needing some human interaction, such as myself.
Normally I’d be itching to get on a plane for a spa such as this, but I found it right here at Mermaid Beach. Much cheaper than an overseas holiday.
Oh wait…what’s an overseas holiday? Please explain!
