Japan Meets Maya Sayang Villas

Japan Meets Maya Sayang Villas

The Maya Sayang Villa

In a very convenient location in Seminyak I find myself at the Maya Sayang Villas.

A mix between traditional Balinese and Japanese inspired architecture it really gives a point of difference to the typical style of accommodation offered in Bali.

Enter The Maya

From the reception I head off in a golf buggy to my private villa with Olivia (my friend turned assistant) to open our doors to a HUGE courtyard with pool and open living area which is amazing. There are even some little complimentary surprises laying around so you will have to figure that out for yourselves! It is a surprise!

My Little Showbag

Love Little Suprises!

The most significant factor here being that the Villa is in the centre of Seminyak which is a little busy but I was surrounded by so many gorgeous shops and left broke by the end of one day!

Give yourself a budget here or you will be eating rice for the rest of your trip! Haha!

But if you do have some (not much) money left…I strongly suggest forgetting about the restaurants on the main strip and eating at the Maya Sayang Restaurant. The menu is Japanese and Korean and if you like some Sushi and Sashimi as much as I do you will be more than impressed as it is the best Japanese I have ever tasted! Thankgod this food is not fattening! Is it?

It has such a great bar area and private traditional Japanese rooms so next time I am grabbing a bunch of friends to share the experience. You are all invited. My shout during Happy Hour though.

As for the breakfast I could opt for what we call a normal breakfast in Australia or I could choose a Korean or Japanese type menu. Since the Maya Sayang is all about Japanese I thought I would be game and go for the Japanese Breaky whilst Olivia went for the Korean all though to me both of them seem very similar.

Breakfast of Cultural Taste

No matter what you choose you will enjoy the experience as your morning begins with a wake-up call for your chosen time followed by staff that create your breakfast within your Villa’s kitchen.

Now off I go on my golf buggy to check out of my little Japanese Villa! This is a rare find in a side street from the busy main road of Seminyak and all it’s shops but if I was to stay any longer…you might find me selling sarongs to you on the beach!
