Starting from the Greenmount Beach Surf Club, this track follows the coast from Coolangatta to Point Danger. Parkrun
Kirra parkrun is a free, fun, and friendly weekly 5k community event that takes place every Saturday at 07:00am at Kirra Beach, Gold Coast QLD, Australia – directly across from X Kirra and Iconic Kirra Beach Resort. It is a great way to get active and enjoy the outdoors in Kirra and really get a taste of paradise.
Parkrun is free to join, but participants must register before attending and bring a scannable copy of their barcode. Participants can take part at any pace, and there are running tracks and bike tracks for those who wish to push themselves more. The event is organised by volunteers and there is a post-parkrun coffee at North Kirra Surf Club so that you can relax and chat with others afterwards.

Yoga in the Park
Kirra and Coolangatta are a great place to enjoy some of the many things to do such as yoga. Yoga classes in the area are held outdoors every Monday at 6.00am, located at Queen Elizabeth Park in Coolangatta, and cost only $5 cash. In these classes, you can practice postures with breath to warm up the body and challenge yourself in the practice. Modifications are available for all skill levels, including beginners, so everyone can participate. You can combine your yoga session with a stroll around the running tracks or bike tracks nearby or simply relax on the beach afterwards. Whatever you choose to do, a morning yoga session is a perfect way to start your day.
Visit Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary
Just a 10 minute drive from Coolangatta and Kirra, the Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary is one of the Gold Coast’s most popular attractions. Boasting 27 hectares of rainforest to explore, it’s home to over 1,400 Australian native wildlife – giving you plenty of things to do!
From hand-feeding kangaroos, to cuddling and having breakfast with koalas, seeing Australia’s largest saltwater crocodile in action, and walking the dingoes – there’s no shortage of activities that will keep your family entertained. There are also interactive keeper shows, an outdoor playground, miniature train rides and an onsite Wildlife Hospital to see the vets care for the animals.
